The City of Manchester Stadium

The City of Manchester Stadium was built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games and became the new home for Manchester City Football Club in 2003.

Much of the steelwork was hot dip galvanized by ourselves including the RHS purlins that support the roof.

Millennium Dome (O2 Stadium)

We hot dip galvanized approximately 1,000 tonne of steel for the Millennium Dome (now known as the O2 arena) including the steelwork for each of the 12 plant rooms which circle the main structure.  The steelwork that forms the vent shaft which exhausts from the Underground through the dome roof was grit blasted first to give a thicker zinc coating of 140 microns to increase the life of the structure.
